R.I.P Crackhouse

Though the last show was about a month ago ive been late on posting this. Thats right the Crackhouse is dead, the oldest and one of the original DIY venues in Columbus is no longer apart of the scene. I know Cune has been here back in the day, it was CreepShows favorite DIY spot when he was still in columbus, and the rest of the crew has spent many of nights raging out downtown in the grimey basement. The last show I went to my favorite thrash/metal band, Kurt Russell, played a sick set. It was also the first time I pregamed upstairs in the actual "dorm rooms" of the building, drank Jaeger and rolled a blunt for Jones, Polska, and the housemates. The homeboy Skumlife has been hosting a few shows in the parking lot but the building has been boarded up and only the memories will me remain when they tear it down in a few months....

Tonight At The Crack House

Going to be Rowdy with a capital arra, I have not got my rage on since the summer nights at the Last House On The Left.....but its spring ive been bumping a alot of punk recently and a grindcore show with kegs and everclear seems to fit the mold.....gooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Blackout Jones at The Monster House

I think we should change the name of the blog to The Youtube Gang? Maybe not but I found these gems of the Jonester getting down, rowdy, and just not giving a fuck at a Monster House show a few years ago. After watching these videos I realized how unnecessarily hard we would rage at some of these shows to soft ass pop/folk punk. I guess it was the 40's and blunts yo. But anyway if yall have the time please check these vids out I had to catch my breath a couple times from laughing so hard after watching Parts 1 and 2, Jones was prob. the happiest/drunkest man in the crowd this night.

The Jza and The Tale of the Seattle Squatter (Hipster Grifter Part Deux?)

Found these videos over on Neuman and Mattards blog, Distort and Destroy, of the only person I seem to freestyle with anymore, my mans the Jza of Kurt Russell and now Biff Boff Barf fame. The dipset studio session is by far my fave!







Also while I was surfing they bliizog I stumbled upon this story of the female pictured in the middle of the photo below. I am dubbing her the Hipster Grifter Part Deux(click picture below for link to story), those of you who have not met this young lady (and lucky you are as Yoda would say?) you may not be aware of her acts of moochery and could be the next victim, even us TiPsetGrifters have fallen victims to her ways of thievery. 15th House/Skylab Tonight

Thursday night rage/punk/noise/karaoke night is just what I needed after a bullshit week in corporate america. Not to familiar with what is goin on down at Skylab but I heard Aaron Hibbs is starting up his hula hoop marathon again, and im assuming some noise bands will be in the house and that sounds dope. But I know Rag Rage will be playing at the 15th House where there will also be karaoke. Come see Rag Rage cause they are my favorite local female punk band and plus they are dope girls in general, also if you like karaoke then come. Then go to Skylab for funtime.

We will be raging for sure, this is a must go show if youve never been to the Legion Of Doom. One of the original DIY houses in our city. I have heard Vile Gash and they are dope, plus the band from New York who are also their label mates seem like they are headbang worthy.
